Files i download disappear firefox

I saw this solution before and the same thing happened. Are values missing then? Okay this is what happens: I download any file. If I go to open the download folder the file is there downloading. Now the minute the download finishes, the file disappears from the folder and if I go to the Download window to open it nothing happens and the Right Click, Open, and Open Containing folder options are greyed out.

Edit: Go to Download Page is also grey. I've tried everything in those links you gave me, some of it twice. The only thing I didn't try is checking for spyware, etc, so I'm doing that real quick. Edit: Done, didn't help. Eventually you do, yes, but you get to choose how large a window of recoverability you want or need. This may seem simplistic but I have never deleted any downloads.

I was never sure what to delete. Any ideas on how to proceed? Some you might keep move to a different folder others you might delete. Most browsers, as lew b noted, most browsers have a setting for where to download files, and even to ask where to download them.

I have the same problem but with my mobile. Recently I download some video files. But one or two days latter they are gone from the chrome. So I upgrade it, but facing the same problem.
